One Dead and Two Injured in Car Crash in Ternopil Region

Police are investigating the cause of the accident in the Terebovlia region. The investigation is ongoing. 

As a result of a traffic accident in the Terebovlia region, one person has died and two others with varying degrees of injuries were transported to the hospital by an emergency medical team. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ternopil Oblast.

The accident occurred on November 7 at approximately 2:00 PM on the Domaneve-Kovel-Chernivtsi-Terebovlia highway, specifically in the village of Druzhba, where a Volkswagen T5 collided with a Mercedes Benz Sprinter.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the Volkswagen T5, born in 1958, died at the scene. A passenger from the vehicle was taken to the hospital, and the emergency team also transported the driver of the Sprinter.

Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and used specialized equipment to extract the deceased driver and the injured individuals. They also took measures to prevent fuel from catching fire, which could have posed an additional danger.
