A fatal car accident occurred in Ternopil region

Ternopil Region News: Accident Occurs in Ternopil Oblast

An accident has occurred in Ternopil Oblast, according to reports from the Ternopil Patrol Police.

The incident took place on the M-19 Domaneve–Terebovlia highway, near the 344 km mark. The crash involved injuries, and traffic in the area is currently disrupted. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene.

It was later confirmed that the collision occurred in the village of Druzhba, between a Volkswagen T5 and a Mercedes Benz Sprinter.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the Volkswagen T5, born in 1958, died at the scene. A passenger from the same vehicle was taken to the hospital, and an ambulance team also transported the driver of the Sprinter.

Authorities are considering the initiation of a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code. An investigation is ongoing.
