The 15-year-old son of the famous Ukrainian boxer and coach Vyacheslav Uzelkov, Robert, commented on the passing of his father, whose death was announced on November 9. The teenager shared an emotional post on social media, dedicated to his late parent.

On his Instagram, Robert, the son of the athlete and his ex-wife, coach Marina Borzhemska, posted a "story" with a black background, where he mentioned his father. Robert confirmed that Uzelkov passed away today but did not disclose the cause of his death.

However, the boy reflected on the fact that they had not communicated for a long time due to conflicts between them. Previously, Borzhemska had shared that the boxer was not involved in raising their children and did not initiate meetings with them, which eventually led to Robert distancing himself from his father. The teenager revealed that Uzelkov had threatened their family and constantly insulted them. Robert stated that he no longer wanted to see his father or even hear anything about him.

It is still unclear what caused the death of the athlete. However, it is known that Uzelkov had long-standing health issues, including undergoing a complex heart surgery, after which he spent two weeks in a coma. To date, Borzhemska has not commented on the tragic news.

It’s worth noting that Vyacheslav and Marina were married for over 20 years. The couple had two children: a son, Robert, and a daughter, Olivia, who is 12 years old. In 2018, they went through a highly publicized and controversial divorce. Last year, it was revealed that the boxer had proposed to another woman, whom he had kept secret. She was reportedly by Uzelkov's side during his difficult recovery period.
